Fort Worth-based Bank of Texas has named Natalie Garza as Houston market CEO following the retirement of Randy Walker. She will report to Mark Wade, Bank of Texas CEO.
Garza has 17 years of banking experience with Amegy Bank of Texas. She has broad experience in corporate banking and commercial real estate. Garza led a team of 40 bankers and built a portfolio of $3.5 billion at Amegy Bank of Texas.
“Her versatility and growth mindset make her exactly the kind of leader we need for our Houston team,” Wade says. “When I talked to bankers and corporate leaders in Houston, Natalie’s name came up again and again. After meeting with her, I knew that her banking expertise, energy for winning business and collaborative way of doing business made her the absolute right person to lead our Houston team.”
Garza holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University and earned her MBA degree from the University of Texas–Austin. She serves on the E.J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council at Louisiana State University and the McCombs School of Business Real Estate Center Advisory Council at the University of Texas. She also serves on the finance committee of the Scenic Houston advisory board and as secretary on the West Park MUD board.
