Vantage Bank Names Mounce Houston Regional President

September 4, 2026

Tray MounceSan Antonio-based Vantage Bank has named Tray Mounce executive vice president and Houston regional president. Mounce, who joined the bank in 2023 as executive vice president and Houston market president, has 36 years of banking experience.

Before joining Vantage Bank, Mounce spent more than 10 years with Texas Capital Bank in Houston, most recently as senior vice president in its middle-market lending group. Earlier, he served eight years as senior vice president with Encore Bank/Cadence Bank, where he worked in entrepreneur banking, and more than seven years with Coastal Banc/Capital One Bank, where he was a vice president in commercial banking. His experience includes working with privately held and middle-market businesses and providing trade financing, real estate acquisition and investment financing, aircraft financing, cash management and treasury solutions and fiduciary escrow services.

Mounce earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University and completed the Commercial Banking Certificate–Strategic Partner Program at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business. He currently serves on the Houston Gulf Coast chapter advisory board of Breakthrough T1D. He previously served on the Cy-Fair Young Life committee and on the boards of the Greater Houston and Northwest Houston chapters of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, including service as chairman of the Northwest Houston board.

Established in 1923, Vantage Bank has 23 locations across Texas.
