Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

May 3–9, 2026

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Home Bank NA, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, to relocate a branch from 12946 Dairy Ashford, Ste. 100, in Sugar Land to 14965 Southwest Fwy. in Sugar Land.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the northwest corner of Texas State Hwy. 191 and Texas State Hwy. 158 in Midland.

The TDB reports that Pilgrim Bank, based in Pittsburg, has established a branch at 2072 Three Lakes Pkwy., Ste. 300 and 400, in Tyler.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 2575 W. Camp Wisdom Rd. in Grand Prairie.

The TDB reports that Fidelity Bank of Texas, based in Waco, has applied to relocate its home office from 1901 Lakeshore Dr. in Waco to 24030 US 84 in Waco.

Branches

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has applied to establish a branch at 829 Horizon Way in Melissa. The agency also reports that it has approved an application by Wells Fargo Bank to establish a branch at Hwy. 287 and E. Broad St. in Mansfield.

April 19–25, 2026

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, to acquire Stellar Bank, based in Houston.

Branches

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 170 Alliance Blvd., Ste. 100, in Hutto.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Associated Bank NA, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to establish a branch at 5950 Sherry Lane, Ste. 450, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 700 Boyd Rd. in Azle.

April 12–18, 2026

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank, based in Mercedes, has applied to acquire Zapata Bank, based in Zapata.

Branches

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 1415 E. Main St. in Fredericksburg.

The OCC reports that West Texas National Bank, based in Midland, has applied to establish a branch at 305 N. Main St. in Lockney.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Lemmon Ave. and Douglas Ave. in Dallas.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established a branch at 3605 S. Preston Rd. in Celine. The agency also reports that PNC Bank has applied to establish a branch at 22205 FM 529 Rd. in Katy. In addition, the bank has applied to relocate a branch from 1703 W. 5th St., Ste. 100, in Austin to 327 W. 6th St. in Austin.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The Huntington National Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at 14025 Northwest Fwy. in Houston.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at the northwest corner of Texas State Hwy. 191 and Texas State Hwy. 158 in Midland.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has applied to establish the following branches: 2606 Gus Thomasson Rd. in Dallas; 5408 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Frisco; and 409 N. Hwy. 78 in Wylie.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has opened a new branch at 19940 Eva St. in Montgomery.

The TDB reports that Spectra Bank, based in Fort Worth, has applied to establish a branch at 11950 Webb Chapel Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 170 Alliance Blvd., Ste. 100, in Hutto.

The OCC reports that Sunflower Bank NA, based in Dallas, has completed its acquisition of First Foundation Bank, based in Irvine, California.

The TDB reports that City Bank, based in Lubbock, has completed its acquisition of Bank of Houston, based in Houston.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Yoakum Bank, based in Yoakum, has completed its conversion from Yoakum National Bank to a Texas state-chartered bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that Central National Bank, based in Waco, has established a branch at 3801 N. Capital of Texas Hwy., Ste. B-100, in Austin.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish a branch at 8538 IH 35 S in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established a branch at 3230 W. Camp Wisdom Rd. in Dallas.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 11224 Quaker Ave. in Lubbock.
