Worthington Bank Welcomes New Chief Lending Officer and Arlington Market President

Mark EvansOn March 31, Arlington-based Worthington Bank announced the hiring of Mark Evans to serve as chief lending officer and Brian Compton as Arlington market president. Evans succeeds the current chief lending officer, Dan Mocio, who recently retired.

“Both Compton and Evans bring a total of six decades of industry experience with them to Worthington Bank,” notes Gary Price, CEO. “Their expertise and leadership skills will help drive growth, and we’re excited to see the impact they will have on Worthington Bank in the years to come.”

nameBefore joining Worthington Bank, Compton spent two decades in the banking industry serving in roles that included branch manager and commercial lender. He then went on to hold regional and market leadership roles. Prior to banking, Compton was a captain in the U.S. Army, Infantry. He has a business management degree from the University of Tampa and attended the American Bankers Association/Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Evans has spent more than 40 years in lending and executive management roles with banks in Louisiana and Texas. His leadership, underwriting, and relationship-building skills have made him an asset and propelled his growth in the industry. Evans earned his BBA degree in finance at Baylor University and is also a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

Established in 2002, Worthington Bank operates five banking offices in Tarrant and Denton counties.
