Marcus BrockmanLarry Allen, area chairman of Lubbock-based Peoples Bank, has announced the promotion of Marcus Brockman to rural markets president. He has been with Peoples Bank for 21 years. Brockman grew up in Nazareth and helped open the Peoples Bank branch there. He has been serving customers in that community as a lender since the Nazareth branch opened in 2005.

All acquired branches remain open as Peoples Bank, a division of Cornerstone Capital Bank. The Peoples Bank leadership team, branch presidents and support staff remain in place. Allen, former chairman and CEO of Peoples Bank, has joined the boards of Cornerstone Capital Bancorp and Cornerstone Capital Bank and now serves as area chairman for Peoples Bank.
