VeraBank Welcomes Luper and Richardson for Mortgage Banking in Austin and Huntsville

Henderson-based VeraBank has hired Joel Richardson and Courtney Luper to serve on the bank’s mortgage teams in Austin and Huntsville.

Joel RichardsonRichardson will serve as senior vice president/Central Texas mortgage manager and will office at the bank’s downtown Austin location. His career spans more than two decades and includes financial experience, an MBA degree in finance and vast knowledge of the mortgage industry in both operations and sales. With lending experience encompassing everything from custom home construction and home renovation work to purchases and refinance of residential and investment properties, he is highly regarded among mortgage professionals in Austin and surrounding areas.

“Joel brings a depth of knowledge and understanding to our mortgage team that will benefit our customers and our organization,” says Christina Janecka, senior vice president and director of mortgage banking. “In his role, he will be a key component in the growth of our Central Texas mortgage division and will continue VeraBank’s longstanding tradition of providing a genuine banking experience to the communities we serve.”

Courtney LuperLuper is joining VeraBank’s mortgage banking team as banking officer and mortgage banker at the Huntsville branch.

“Her expertise and thoughtful approach to client relationships align with our personalized genuine banking experience,” says Joel Jackson, senior vice president and regional manager.

Luper’s banking career spans more than two decades, including her experience as a loan officer and processor. Born and raised in Huntsville, she earned her degree in Agriculture from Sam Houston State University and loves to serve her community in many capacities.

Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 19 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 39 branches.
