Houston-based Third Party Resources Inc. (3PR), a consulting firm that partners with financial institutions to provide risk management solutions, has promoted Cheryl Linder to director of internal audit. The advancement was announced by Lori Victory, president. Linder previously served at Third Party Resources as a senior consultant.
Linder joined Third Party Resources in 2024. Before that, she was senior vice president/controller at NewFirst National Bank in Rosenberg. She launched her banking career in 1994 as a vice president at Wallis Bank and served there for more than 11 years.
Linder is a graduate of the Bank Operations Institute at Texas A&M University and attended both the Houston Community College School of Banking and Wharton County Junior College. She also attended the Texas Bankers Association 33rd Annual Internal Audit School. She received the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification from Nacha last October, recognizing her extensive expertise in electronic payments, ACH operations and compliance.
Linder is a founding member of Financial Women In Texas and has served in a variety of leadership positions at both the group and association level. She has received numerous awards for her dedicated leadership to the association and its members.
