Fort Worth-based TexasBank has hired Matt Duncan to serve as executive vice president/chief credit officer. He brings more than 30 years of experience in community banking and risk management.
Duncan’s career spans senior leadership roles in credit administration, enterprise risk management and loan portfolio oversight. Before joining TexasBank, he held executive roles at regional community banks, where he led credit administration, risk management initiatives and supported organizations through periods of growth and acquisition.
“Matt brings a level of experience and perspective that strengthens our ability to serve customers well and grow responsibly,” says Greg Dodds, president and CEO. “He understands that strong credit leadership isn’t just about managing risk, it’s about helping communities thrive.”
Duncan holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, with a minor in finance, from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and is a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He has also completed advanced risk management training through The Wharton School.
