Schattle Named Vice President and Compliance Officer at National Bank & Trust

Jennifer SchattleLa Grange-based National Bank & Trust announced recently that Jennifer Schattle, CIA, has been promoted to vice president/compliance officer. Scott McManus, president and CEO, made the announcement.

Schattle previously served as assistant vice president/assistant compliance officer. She was promoted to compliance officer in August 2023 and to vice president in March 2024. In addition to her new roles, she also serves as BSA/AML officer, responsible for the implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act program. As compliance officer, she helps lead the execution of the bank’s compliance program by performing regulatory reviews that test and monitor compliance with banking laws and regulations. Having received her Internal Audit Certification in 2022, Schattle is responsible for performing objective, independent monitoring and reliable assessments of operation functions and compliance with banking laws and regulations. Lastly, she is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and deliverables to promote National Bank & Trust’s products and services.

Schattle joined the banking industry in 2020. Prior to that, she worked in the electric power industry.

She earned a BS degree in journalism from Texas A&M University. She is also a graduate of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas’ (IBAT) Bank Operations Institute and completed the Project Management Gold Seal Certificate program at the University of Texas–Austin. Schattle currently serves as president of region 10 of the IBAT Leadership Division, on the advisory board of La Grange Main Street and as a member of the La Grange Rotary Club.

Established in 1888, National Bank & Trust reported assets of $233 million as of December 31, 2023.
