PlainsCapital Bank Hires Miller as Senior Commercial Loan Officer in The Woodlands

Jud MillerDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently announced that Jud Miller has joined its commercial lending team as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer. He will office out of The Woodlands branch at 1699 Research Forest Dr., Ste. 100.

With more than two decades of diverse financial services experience spanning commercial banking, insurance and risk management consulting, Miller brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. He joins PlainsCapital from Bank of America, for which he served as senior vice president from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, he was senior vice president/business banking team lead at Woodforest National Bank from 2018 to 2022, and vice president at Bank of Texas from 2015 to 2018. His career trajectory also includes various roles in commercial banking, focusing on credit, loan review and loan production.

“His broad experience in financial services coupled with his familiarity of the region makes him a strong asset to our team,” says Danny Schroder, Houston region chairman.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 57 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
