Citizens State Bank Names Jones President

February 11, 2026

Tye JonesTye Jones has been promoted to president of Woodville-based Citizens State Bank. He has more than 15 years of banking experience and joined Citizens State Bank in 2022 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. In addition to his role as president, Jones will continue to serve as chief operating officer. He will also serve on the Citizens State Bank board of directors.

Before joining Citizens State Bank, Jones was a vice president at Heartland Financial USA and senior vice president at AimBank in Levelland.

“Tye is known for his strategic vision and ability to foster growth and innovation within the banking industry,” the bank notes in a press release. “He has a keen interest in financial technology and is passionate about implementing modern solutions to enhance the customer experience and streamline operations.”

Jones is a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at SMU Cox and holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.

Established in 1919, Citizens State Bank has banking offices in Woodville, Austin, Marlin, Porter and Warren.
