Citizens State Bank Appoints Construction and Real Estate CEO to Board

January 29, 2026

Curt JoslinCurt Joslin, a construction and commercial real estate entrepreneur, has been appointed to the board of Woodville-based Citizens State Bank. A life-long resident of East Montgomery County, he serves as co-chairman of The Joslin Group, based in the Greater Houston area. He is also president and CEO of Joslin Development Group, which develops unique subdivision and ranch land properties in rural Texas communities.

Joslin formerly served as CEO of Joslin Construction Co. from 2000 to 2018, growing his family business from 10 employees to more than 400 and establishing Joslin as a premier commercial heavy civil contractor in southeast Texas. He has used his construction knowledge to start multiple firms, such as Site Tech Construction Layout, which was sold to his operating partner in 2024; Liberty Precast and Buckner Precast, which were sold to a competitor in 2019; Idaho Precast, which was sold to a competitor in 2024; and DempseyGill, which was sold to his operating partner in 2025. He has also been an investor in several other construction-related companies.

Active in his community, Joslin currently serves as Montgomery County civil service commissioner, Montgomery County ethics committee member and Tyler County Industrial Commission board member. He is a former trustee and president of the New Caney ISD board of trustees.

Established in 1919, Citizens State Bank operates banking offices in Woodville, Austin, Marlin, Porter and Warren.
