Mercer Hired as Senior Vice President/Director of Compliance at Dallas Capital Bank

November 15, 2024

Clark MercerClark Mercer has joined Dallas Capital Bank as senior vice president/director of compliance. He brings more than 32 years of banking experience with 22 years in compliance and risk management to his new role. He will be responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the bank’s compliance management program, including its BSA/AML program. Mercer will report to Doug Staley, executive vice president and chief risk officer.

Prior to joining Dallas Capital Bank, Mercer was director of compliance and risk for Primus Research. He has also served as executive vice president/chief compliance officer for Origin Bank in Dallas, senior vice president/director of compliance at Veritex Bank in Houston, vice president/administrative officer (controller) at Riyad Bank in Houston. In addition, Mercer has worked for JPMorgan Chase Bank, Zions Bancorp and Texas State Title Co.

Mercer holds a BA degree in accounting/business from the University of Texas–Austin. He also earned audit and compliance certification from the University of Notre Dame.
