Arkansas-based Bank OZK Hires Newton as Fund Finance Director in Houston

May 15, 2025

Henry NewtonHenry Newton has joined Little Rock, Arkansas-based Bank OZK as director/fund finance in the corporate and institutional banking group in Houston. With more than a decade of experience in investment banking, he is responsible for originating, structuring and executing financing for clients, including fund managers, institutional investors and sponsors.

Newton worked at Truist Securities in Houston before joining Bank OZK. His career has also included stints at Guggenheim Partners, Intrepid Financial Partners, Lazard and Merrill Lynch. Newton also served as a captain and artillery officer in the U.S. Army for five years.

Newton earned a BS degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He received his MBA degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a master’s of professional accounting degree from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas–Austin.

Established in 1981, Bank OZK operates approximately 230 banking offices in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, which has 25 branches.
