Ozona Bank Announces Five Promotions in December

December 29, 2021

Ozona-based Ozona Bank recently announced promotions at several of its locations.

Kathy Gold has been promoted from assistant vice president to vice president, BSA/OFAC officer. She has been with the bank for 23 years, having started as a part-time teller and serving in various positions during her tenure. Prior to her banking career, Gold majored in nursing education at Austin Community College.

Annalu Gonzales has been promoted to vice president/director of human resources in the Ozona main branch.  She began her career with Ozona Bank in 1998 as a loan secretary and has worked in various positions. Gonzales recently completed the required courses and passed the Society of Human Resources Certified Professional exam, earning recognition as SHRM-CP. She also attended the Human Resource Management School at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.

Sarah Preston has been promoted to vice president/director of operations. She began her career with the bank in 2007 as a part-time teller and subsequently has worked in various positions, including branch operations manager at the San Marcos branch. Preston attended Texas State University, majoring in psychology and communication.

Jenifer Reed has moved from a financial services representative in the Ozona Bank’s Wimberley branch to branch operations manager/assistant cashier in the San Marcos branch. She joined Ozona Bank in the Wimberley branch as a teller in 2015. Reed earned her AA degree from Lincoln Land Community College and a BA degree in history/teacher education from the University of Illinois.

Melinda Valdes was promoted from assistant cashier/teller supervisor to assistant vice president/teller operations at the Ozona branch. She has been with the bank since 1997.

Established in 1905, Ozona Bank operates branches in Ozona, Wimberley, San Marcos and San Antonio.
