Seagoville-based HomeBank Texas has made a significant community investment in the future of Rockwall County with a $500,000 contribution to the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA’s capital campaign. The funding supports a $5.2 million renovation and expansion initiative designed to serve one of the fastest-growing counties in the country.
The gift is slated for the YMCA’s planned natatorium renovation and will help advance several major improvements, including:
- A fully updated aquatic center that will provide year-round access for families in the community;
- A new group exercise studio to meet growing demand for wellness and fitness programming; and
- Expanded parking to improve accessibility and accommodate increased member use.
“At HomeBank Texas, we aim to support organizations that strengthen people and the communities they live in,” says Mark Andrews, chairman. “The YMCA has played a central role in Rockwall County for 50 years, and this project helps ensure it can continue meeting the evolving needs of local families.”
The contribution builds on a longstanding partnership between HomeBank Texas and the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA. Eric Stacey, HomeBank’s chief lending officer, was recently named “Volunteer of the Year” for his dedicated leadership and service to the organization.
“We’re grateful to move forward alongside HomeBank Texas as we work to expand and modernize our facility,” says Harold Young, district executive director of the J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall. “Its support plays a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality programming and facilities that reflect the needs and potential of this community.”
Along with this contribution, HomeBank Texas continues to deepen its presence across North Texas. The bank recently opened its new corporate headquarters in Seagoville.
Established in 1952, HomeBank Texas has banking offices in Seagoville, Rockwall and Dallas.
