Terrell-based American National Bank of Texas (ANBTX) has announced the opening of its newest banking center in Heath—part of the year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary. Located at 482 Laurence Dr., it’s the bank’s fourth location in Rockwall County, one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas. The opening continues ANBTX’s strategic growth and revitalization of locations across North Texas following recent investments, including a new loan production office in South Dallas in late 2024, the renovation of its Burleson banking center in 2022 and the opening of its new Forney location in 2021.
The Heath location expands its North Texas footprint to more than 30 locations and will provide a full suite of services, including business and commercial lending. A larger grand opening celebration is planned in early 2026.
“ANBTX is authentically local, never forgetting its roots,” notes Blake James, regional president for Rockwall and Hunt counties. “We will continue to build lasting relationships with the hardworking businesses, entrepreneurs and residents of Rockwall County. We’ve been part of this community for generations, and we’re committed to being the best bank to support families and businesses as the region continues to grow.”
“In our 150th year, ANBTX is not slowing down,” adds Robert Hulsey, president and CEO. “We’re focused on being the top choice for North Texans who value a true local banking relationship—one where decisions are made here, by people who know North Texas. The new Heath banking center reflects our commitment to serving this community with excellence. As one of the last remaining locally owned and operated community banks, we’re proud to keep expanding in the communities that have trusted us since 1875.”
Established in 1875, American National Bank of Texas has more than 30 locations throughout North Texas, serving Collin, Dallas, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt counties.
