On August 27, the New York Stock Exchange opened the headquarters of NYSE Texas at the historic Old Parkland campus in Dallas. The new headquarters provides NYSE Texas-listed companies with a dedicated venue and event space.
To mark the opening, Texas Governor Greg Abbott rang the NYSE Texas Closing Bell, which was broadcast live from Dallas. He was joined by State Senators Bryan Hughes and Tan Parker, State Representatives Angie Chen Button and Morgan Meyer, NYSE President Lynn Martin, NYSE Texas President Bryan Daniel and Intercontinental Exchange Chairman and CEO Jeff Sprecher.
During his remarks, Abbott said establishing a capital markets presence in Dallas reflects the amount of business investment and corporate activity occurring in Texas.
“Texas is home to more Fortune 500 company headquarters than any other U.S. state, and the establishment of NYSE Texas reflects our deep commitment to the businesses and leaders driving the robust Texas economy forward,” says Lynn Martin, president of the NYSE Group. “This headquarters is where our commitment to the state becomes concrete as a dedicated home for the innovators who are shaping the future.”
NYSE Texas launched in March 2025 as the first securities exchange incorporated in Texas. The fully electronic equities exchange has grown to more than 120 issuers with a combined market capitalization exceeding $2 trillion. Texas companies listed across the NYSE markets represent more than $4.8 trillion in total market value.
