Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has hired Jason Hampton to join its Austin lending team as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer. He will be based at the bank’s Westlake location at 2705 Bee Caves Rd., Ste. 120.

Hampton has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in commercial banking. Most recently, he served as president of the Lakeway banking center for Prosperity Bank. He was responsible for driving loan production in commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, and homebuilding loans. He also previously served as executive officer at SouthStar Bank and has held commercial banking roles at Green Bank, Independent Bank Group and BBVA Compass. Hampton earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Austin.
