Vista Bank Names Austin President of Corporate Banking

August 14, 2025

Mandy AustinOn August 5, Dallas-based Vista Bank announced the appointment of Mandy Austin as president of corporate banking. She has more than 20 years of experience in strategic financial leadership.

Austin spent 18 years at Bank of Texas, serving as Dallas market president and CEO, leading the corporate banking division. Under her leadership, the Dallas region built a multi-billion-dollar loan and deposit portfolio and developed specialty lending verticals, including supply-chain finance and subscription lending. Respected industry-wide for exceeding key performance indicators across market share, client retention, risk management and culture preservation, Austin has earned accolades such as the Dallas Business Journal’s “Texas 100” and “40 Under 40.”

“With Vista emerging as one of the top-five-ranked commercial banks in North Texas this year, Mandy’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in corporate banking make her the ideal choice to continue the momentum,” says John D. Steinmetz, president and CEO. “Her ability to drive strategic growth while fostering collaborative cultures aligns perfectly with our mission to put people first.”

“Vista is well-positioned in the marketplace to continue attracting the industry’s best talent—like Mandy—while aggressively competing for the region’s best clients,” adds Russell Hartsfield , executive vice president, who helped recruit Austin. “It’s why I came out of retirement and what has me most excited about the bank’s future.”

Austin is a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. She is a member of the Dallas Young Professionals Organization, serves on the board of the Children’s Health Foundation and has held leadership roles with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.

Established in 1912, Vista Bank serves markets across North, Central and West Texas, as well as Palm Beach, Florida.
