In May, Fort Worth-based Trinity Bank NA announced that Mindy Hegi has joined the executive management team as chief financial officer. She brings more than 20 years of executive-level financial and operational leadership experience in community banking.
Before joining Trinity Bank, Hegi served as vice president of corporate finance for State National Bancshares from 2001 until the company’s sale to BBVA in 2008. She was later named chief financial officer of Carlile Bancshares, a $2.2 billion community bank holding company with 42 branches across North Texas, Austin and Colorado, serving in the role from 2008 until the company’s sale to Independent Bank in 2017. From 2019 through 2023, Hegi also served as a board member and chair of the audit committee for Charis Bank before its acquisition by Vista Bank.
Prior to joining the bank, Hegi was appointed to its board of directors in 2024. As a member of the board, she chaired the compensation committee and served as a member of the audit committee.
Hegi earned a BA degree in accounting and her MBA degree in finance, both from Texas A&M University. She is a certified public accountant.
“Mindy brings a wealth of banking expertise and knowledge to Trinity Bank. But more importantly, [it] brings us a well-known and well-respected individual from our Fort Worth community,” notes Matt R. Opitz, CEO. “With CFO and management experience spanning banks of our size and larger, Mindy is well-positioned to support Trinity Bank’s continued growth over the coming years.”
Established in 2003, Trinity Bank provides banking services to the North Texas business community.
