Shurtleff Retiring from Alliance Bank as Hopkins County Market President

January 1, 2025

nameKeith Shurtleff is retiring as Hopkins County market president from Sulphur Springs-based Alliance Bank after 29 years of service. Upon his retirement at the end of January 2025, Jason Thompson, a lifelong member of the community, will assume the role of Hopkins County market president.

“Keith’s dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to Alliance Bank and our community have made an immeasurable impact over the years,” the bank notes in a press release announcing Shurtleff’s retirement.

Shurtleff attended Texas A&M University.

Established in 1927, Alliance Bank operates more than a dozen locations in Sulphur Springs, Commerce, Greenville, Mount Vernon, Rockwall and Wolfe City. Additionally, the bank owns and operates Galyean Insurance Agency and Alliance Bank’s brokerage company, Alliance Bank Financial Services.
