Central Bank Hires Welch as Commercial Banker, Minzenmeyer as Deposit Officer

June 12, 2025

Jeff WelchJeff Welch has joined Houston-based Central Bank to serve as senior vice president and commercial banker at the bank’s West Houston branch. With more than 14 years of banking and financial industry experience in the greater Houston area, his primary focus will be on serving commercial clients across multiple industries, including construction, commercial real estate, manufacturing and professional services. Welch’s previous employment includes positions at Transformational Real Estate Investing LLC, Third Coast Bank and Post Oak Bank NA in Houston. He holds a BBA degree in finance and accounting from Sam Houston State University. While earning his degree, Welch was the quarterback of the Division 1 football team at Sam Houston State University.

Bryan MinzenmeyerBryan Minzenmeyer has joined Central Bank as vice president and deposit officer. With nearly a decade of experience in customer service and sales in the financial services industry, he will focus primarily on developing and managing deposit relationships in the greater Houston market. His previous experience includes roles at Fayetteville Bank and National Bank & Trust. Minzenmeyer has attended the School of Banking at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.

Established in 1956, Central Bank operates four branches in Houston.
