Community National Bank Announces Promotions and New Talent Joining the Team

June 12, 2025

On June 4, Midland-based Community National Bank announced several new hires and promotions.

Bryce Mayo has joined the bank as vice president/project manager. He began his banking career in 2004 and has since gained a wide range of experience across various banking roles while pursuing higher education at Midland College, Texas Tech University and the University of Texas–Permian Basin. A brief career detour into the oil industry as a crude oil dispatcher confirmed that his heart truly belongs to banking. Outside of work, Mayo serves on the board of Encore, a nonprofit organization dedicated to music scholarships.

Lauren Hoffener has been promoted to branch manager for the bank’s newest location in Lubbock. Born and raised in Lubbock, she has more than 12 years of banking experience, including four years with Community National Bank.

The bank has hired Janet Hughes to serve as senior vice president/regulatory accounting officer. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Hughes began her career as a teller in high school and has since developed a strong foundation in bank auditing and accounting. She is a proud alumna of both the Texas Tech School of Banking and the SW Graduate School of Banking.

Nikki Weaver has been promoted to branch manager at the bank’s Lubbock headquarters. A graduate of Howard Payne University, she brings a diverse background in banking, including roles in bookkeeping, teller services, new accounts and loan assistance. Before joining Community National Bank, Weaver served in higher education for more than 12 years, including positions at Howard Payne University and Lubbock Christian University.

In addition, the bank also announced the following leadership promotions:

  • Lorena Andrews has been promoted to director of operations, overseeing loan and deposit operations;
  • Alex Rodriguez was promoted to loan operations manager;
  • Gina Quiroz is now bank operations manager;
  • Charla Mulanax has been promoted to fraud and debit card manager;
  • Selena Martinez was promoted to client relationship division and ACH manager; and
  • Eddie Montoya is now chief product development and employee engagement officer.

Established in 1984, Community National Bank has 12 offices in East Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
