Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has announced that Judge John Gonzales Jr. has joined its Edinburg lending group as senior vice president/commercial loan officer at the bank’s 100 W. Cano Street location. He brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, including roles in the banking, financial advisory and insurance industries, as well as local government.
“John will be an excellent addition to our lending team and a great resource to the business owners in the communities we serve,” says Robert Norman, Rio Grande Valley region chairman. “His vast experience in financial services and knowledge of the region will help us deliver even greater value to our clients.”
Gonzales received his BBA degree in finance from Texas A&I University and his MBA degree from the University of Texas–Pan American. Throughout his career, John has been involved in various community-focused organizations, including the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Rio Grande Valley Partnership, Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and Texas Border Coalition.
“PlainsCapital has been a staple across the Valley and all of Texas for many years,” Gonzales notes. “I’m excited to join such a reputable organization and help local business leaders work toward their financial goals.”
