Scott Joins Jefferson Bank as Senior Vice President and Mortgage Lender in Austin

August 16, 2023

“MichaelMichael Scott has been hired by San Antonio-based Jefferson Bank to serve as senior vice president, mortgage lender/sales manager at the bank’s office in Austin. He will lead recruitment efforts of the bank’s growing Austin mortgage office and will be responsible for generating residential mortgages.

With more than 37 years of financial services experience, Scott previously worked as manager of secondary marketing, senior loan originator, and most recently, loan production manager at Capstar Lending LLC. He earned both his BBA and MBA degrees from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas–Austin.

“We are excited to have Michael join the Jefferson Bank team and know he will make a significant impact on building the mortgage division,” says Jon Rebello, Austin market president. “With his long-standing industry knowledge and expertise, we are confident that Michael will further bolster the continual growth and success of Jefferson Bank in the greater Austin area.”

Established in 1946, Jefferson Bank operates 14 branches in Central Texas.
