Steve Stapp, president and CEO of Round Rock-based R Bank , recently announced two promotions—one in Austin and one in Round Rock.
Garrett Morgan has been promoted to senior vice president/Austin banking center president. A veteran banker with more than 15 years of experience, he joined R Bank in 2017 as senior vice president/commercial lender. Prior to joining R Bank, Morgan served as vice president/commercial lender at Green Bank in Austin and, prior to that, was a credit analyst at ABC Bank in Austin. Morgan holds a BBA degree in management from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He serves on the Texas and New Mexico loan committees for Capital CDC.
“Garrett has proven himself as a leader both within the company and out in the community, building relationships with those in our community to find solutions to meet their financial needs,” Stapp says.
Jennifer Boyd has been promoted to senior vice president/loan administration officer in Round Rock. She previously served as an assistant vice president in loan operations. Prior to joining R Bank in 2012, Boyd was a lending assistant in loan operations at First Texas Bank in Georgetown. Boyd studied business administration and management at Tarleton State University and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
“[Boyd] is a valued veteran banking professional with more than 18 years of experience in the industry and has continually showcased her exemplary leadership qualities and knowledge base since 2012 when she joined R Bank’s team,” Stapp notes. “Jennifer’s dedication and experience have positively impacted R Bank’s success story.”
Established in 2009, R Bank operates 10 banking offices in Central and East Texas, as well as Fort Worth.
