Simons Joins Fidelity Bank of Texas as Chief Financial Officer

Preston SimonsWaco-based Fidelity Bank of Texas has appointed Preston Simons as chief financial officer, effective immediately. With more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and financial strategy, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new post.

Prior to joining Fidelity Bank of Texas, Simons served as managing director and head of the Dallas office for Olsen Palmer LLC, for which he advised Texas and Oklahoma banks on mergers and acquisitions. Before that, he was managing director of the financial institutions group at Commerce Street Capital LLC. Over more than a decade, Simons advised community banks across the Southwest on M&A, private placements of debt and equity, and strategic planning.

“Preston’s deep industry knowledge, strong leadership track record and passion for community banking make him the ideal choice to help guide Fidelity Bank of Texas into its next phase of growth,” says Robert Strong, CEO.

Simons is a graduate of the University of Texas–Austin, where he earned dual degrees in finance and mathematics. He is also an Eagle Scout.

Established in 1973, Fidelity Bank of Texas has offices in Waco and Robinson.
