Missouri-based UMB Bank Hires Burns as Dallas Market President

Todd BurnsKansas City, Missouri-based UMB Bank has hired Todd Burns to serve as Dallas market president. He has more than 30 years of banking experience and a solid record of business and community success in the Dallas area. Burns will oversee all Dallas commercial banking activity for the market. He will focus on driving the growth strategy and building on the significant success achieved during the past 10 years. He is also responsible for growing brand awareness in the market, while leading and growing the commercial team, including adding new talent in 2024.

“Texas is an integral part of UMB’s footprint, and we believe Todd is the right person to build on our strong momentum in the market while bringing forward his own strategic vision and deep community connections,” says Michael Garner, president of the Texas region.

Burns holds an MBA degree in international finance from the University of North Texas and has served as a board member for numerous local organizations, including the Dallas Regional Chamber and the Dallas Citizens Council.

Established in 1913, UMB Bank operates three branches in Texas, as well as locations in Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Arizona.
