Community Bank President | Central Texas

Kreps Colgan & Associates Executive Search has been engaged by a vibrant Community Bank client located in Central Texas to recruit leadership talent. This is an excellent career opportunity for a dynamic Community Bank President to step in as part of the succession plan to transition to President/CEO. This charismatic leader will be a strategic thinker—embracing technology to improve processes and enhance customer experience—and will possess a proven track record of success, a high level of integrity and trust, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative and transparent approach to leadership, employee and customer engagement, a strong financial background and respect for the community bank philosophy. This person will foster a culture of excellence, exceed customer expectations and positively impact communities. This visionary will be able to position the bank successfully for the future while being responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization. The President will provide leadership, planning and oversight of all activities in accordance with policies as established by the board of directors and ensure the financial stability commensurate with the best interests of the organization, employees, shareholders and customers.

Position Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, or related field (MBA or similar advanced degree preferred).
  • A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience in banking with a strong preference for experience in a leadership role within a community bank.
  • In-depth understanding of financial management, lending practices and regulatory requirements in the banking industry.
  • Thorough understanding of the banking industry’s operations, operating environment and risks.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and community engagement skills.
  • Demonstrates an ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Computer software skills, including but are not limited to, the Microsoft Suite of products: Word, Excel, Outlook email and calendar, PowerPoint, Teams
