In May, Amarillo-based FirstBank Southwest announced three new hires at the downtown Amarillo office and one at the bank’s Perryton location, as well as two new employees for the bank’s wealth management division.
Kevin Hunt has been hired to serve as senior vice president/commercial lender in Perryton. He brings 24 years of experience in all areas of banking and understands and lives the role of community banker in the Texas Panhandle. He is responsible for marketing, preparation and servicing of loans to businesses and professionals.
Steve Bowen has joined the bank as senior vice president/senior commercial lender at its downtown Amarillo banking center. He brings 43 years of banking experience, mostly in commercial lending. Bowen previously worked at Happy State Bank and American State Bank.
Jim Bryan has been hired as senior vice president/commercial lender II at the downtown office. He joins FirstBank Southwest with 44 years of banking experience. Bryan previously worked at Wells Fargo in Canyon and at Happy State Bank.
Cathy Tate has joined the bank as portfolio manager at the downtown banking center. She brings 43 years of banking experience. Prior to joining FirstBank Southwest, she was at Happy State Bank and American State Bank. As a portfolio manager, Tate will assist both Bowen and Bryan with their commercial customers.
Todd Wetsel has been hired to serve as senior vice president/trust investment officer in the wealth management department. He brings more than 20 years of banking experience to his new job, with 17 of those years in wealth management.
FirstBank Southwest has also hired Terri Wright as vice president/senior trust administrator in the wealth management department. She has 36 years of financial services experience in investments, administration and operations of a trust department.
