Rusty Hitt, CEO of Corsicana-based Community National Bank & Trust of Texas, recently announced the promotion of six bank officers in Corsicana.

Logan Brady was promoted to senior vice president/chief information officer. A Waxahachie native, he was a loan officer at the bank’s Waxahachie location for two years. Brady studied information sciences at Penn State University, earned a BA degree in public relations from the University of Alabama and graduated with an MBA degree in finance from Quinnipiac University. He also earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University. Brady serves his community by being active in the Rotary Club of Waxahachie and Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce.

Ashley Coker has been promoted to senior vice president/retail operations officer. She has been in the banking industry for more than 20 years, with 13 years at Community National Bank & Trust. Originally from Corsicana and now residing in Waxahachie, she graduated from Texas A&M University–Commerce with a BBA degree. Coker currently serves on the executive boards for the Corsicana Chamber of Commerce and Education Foundation for Waxahachie ISD.

Leah Boozer was promoted to vice president/assistant operations officer. She has 12 years of banking experience, eight of which have been with Community National Bank & Trust at its Red Oak and Corsicana locations. Originally from Waxahachie, Boozer is a new Corsicana resident and has enjoyed learning about her new community by participating in the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Corsicana program.

Michelle Fonseca has been promoted to vice president/digital strategy and communications officer. A Corsicana native, she has been with the bank for almost 12 years. Fonseca holds a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Texas A&M University–Commerce and currently serves on the board of the Irvine Christian Foundation.

Kasey Fegan was promoted to vice president/trust officer. He is a graduate of Navarro College and Oklahoma State University, holding a BS degree in finance and energy finance. Focusing on tax work and investments for nearly three years in Corsicana, Fegan is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Corsicana and enjoys serving on a variety of local boards and committees.

Zoila Goodroe has been promoted to assistant vice president/trust operations officer. She has served in the bank’s trust department for five years and has been with the bank for 15 years. Goodroe earned an applied science degree in accounting from Navarro College in Corsicana. Born and raised in Mexico, she has called Corsicana home for 30 years and enjoys volunteering as a member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana.

Along with these promotions, the bank solidified the development of two new departments with the following leadership changes:

Alfred Vega was named executive vice president/chief risk officer and chief credit officer. He will continue his leadership in the bank’s credit department while also developing the bank’s new risk department in 2024.

Karen Shoemaker was named senior vice president/quality assurance officer. Previously the bank’s audit officer, her many years of experience will be an asset to the implementation of the bank’s new quality assurance department.

Community National Bank & Trust of Texas ended 2023 with more than $1.2 billion in assets and successfully increased core deposits, despite the year’s tumultuous environment and heightened competition for deposits. “The bank’s growth stems from a tremendous team of officers and employees,” Hitt says. “We are excited to face new challenges with this talented team in 2024.”

Established in 1960, Community National Bank & Trust operates 13 branches in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Central Texas.
