Jacksonville-based Austin Bank promoted two employees in February.
Danielle Merkley has been elected bank officer. She joined Austin Bank in 2011 as a teller in the Longview Oak Forest office. In 2012, she transitioned to a customer service representative at the Greggton location in Longview, where she also served as a CSR regional trainer. She went on to be named escrow and valuation specialist before assuming her current role as loan operations administrative assistant in 2017. In addition to her duties as assistant to the department manager, she trains new employees for the department. Merkley has a total of 13 years of banking experience.
Merkley is a graduate of Kilgore College. She has also completed the Austin Bank Leadership program along with other banking courses.
Rosie Mireles has been promoted to assistant vice president. She joined Austin Bank in 2014 as a teller in the Tyler Cumberland Park office. She moved to the credit analyst department in 2017. In 2019, Mireles was promoted to senior credit analyst and in 2020 was elected banking officer. In 2021, she transitioned to the bank’s main office in Jacksonville and into her current role as portfolio manager.
Mireles is a graduate of Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas–Tyler where she earned an MBA. She is a member of the Jacksonville Leadership Institute Class of 2021–22 and has completed both the Austin Bank Consumer Lending School and STAR Program. Mireles serves as a mentor in the bank’s Mentorship Program and co-chair of the culture committee.
