Western Heritage Bank Promotes Lopez to COO, Resendiz to Treasury Management Officer

Pauline LopezLas Cruces, New Mexico-based Western Heritage Bank has announced that Pauline Lopez has been promoted to chief operating officer. She has served the banking industry in a variety of roles over the years, including new accounts, retail services and customer service. She joined Western Heritage Bank in 2008.

In 2017, Lopez started treasury management functions, which now include a staff of four. In 2020, she assumed oversight of the bank’s information technology and has achieved designation as a certified community bank technology officer. In addition to her new duties as COO, Lopez is currently attending the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

“Pauline has been a community banker for almost 20 years, most of which have been working on our team at Western Heritage Bank,” says Greg Cory, president and CEO. “We are enormously proud to promote her to chief operating officer. She has made a lasting impact on our operations.”

Corina ResendizIn other news, Western Heritage Bank announced that Corina Resendiz has been promoted to treasury management officer. She will serve the El Paso market. Resendiz started her banking career with Plains Capital Bank and joined Western Heritage Bank in 2017. She has experience in deposit operations, new accounts and business banking. Prior to this promotion, she served as treasury management supervisor. A native El Pasoan, Resendiz earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas–El Paso.

“Corina plays a critical role at Western Heritage Bank and we are very pleased to announce her promotion to treasury management officer,” Cory says.

Established in 2001, Western Heritage Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of New Mexico First Financial Inc. It operates in El Paso, as well as New Mexico locations in Las Cruces and Deming.
