In March, Henderson-based VeraBank announced promotions and a new hire for its commercial banking teams in Henderson, Austin and Corsicana.
Zach Kuehner, who has been with VeraBank since 2023, has transitioned into the role of commercial banker at the Austin downtown office. He brings a strong foundation in commercial credit, portfolio management and relationship‑focused service to his new position. Kuehner began his career after earning a BS degree in economic sciences from Washington State University in 2018. He launched his financial career in wealth management, overseeing commercial real estate and specialty assets held in trust accounts. This early exposure to complex real estate portfolios sparked his interest in commercial banking and laid the groundwork for his analytical approach to client service. Kuehner later moved into a commercial credit analyst role, underwriting commercial real estate and C&I transactions. For the past two years, he has served as a portfolio manager at VeraBank in Austin.
Vince McNew, on the VeraBank team since 2019, has transitioned into the role of commercial banker. He began his career with VeraBank as an intern while attending the University of Arkansas and joined the bank full-time after graduating. McNew will serve customers at the bank’s two locations in Henderson, as well as the one in Mt. Enterprise.
“We are thrilled to see Vince step into this new role,” says Brett Biggs, executive vice president and regional president/Panola and Rusk counties. “His dedication, work ethic and deep understanding of our customers make him an exceptional fit for the commercial banking team. Vince has grown with the bank from the very beginning of his career, and we are confident he will make a meaningful impact across our Henderson and Mt. Enterprise branches.”
VeraBank has tapped David Contreras, a team member since 2020, as a commercial banker at the Corsicana downtown office. With 16 years of banking experience, he brings a strong foundation of relationship‑driven service and deep community ties to his new position. As a longtime resident, Contreras has witnessed Corsicana’s development firsthand and is dedicated to helping businesses thrive.
“We are excited to see David step into this new role,” says Andrew Adams, executive vice president and regional chairman/West region. “His extensive experience, strong relationship‑building skills and deep commitment to serving the Corsicana community make him an outstanding fit.”
Audrey Parrish has VeraBank as a commercial banker and banking officer at the Austin downtown office. She brings a strong background in small-business lending. Her previous experience includes helping small businesses across Texas access SBA financing. She has worked closely with entrepreneurs to navigate the lending process.
“I was drawn to VeraBank because of the opportunity to return to commercial banking in a relationship‑driven environment,” Audrey says. “I am motivated by helping businesses succeed and knowing that the work I do has a real impact. Partnering with business owners to find solutions, support growth, and help them reach their goals is incredibly rewarding.”
Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 20 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 41 branches.
