TIB Announces Officer Promotions in the New Year

January 16, 2025

Farmers Branch-based TIB NA announced several officer promotions following its monthly board meeting held January 8.

  • Dawn Velekei, executive vice president, was appointed as an advisory director to TIB’s board of directors. She serves as the bank’s chief financial officer and joined TIB in 2016.
  • Lyle Russell was promoted to president of TIB Consulting Solutions, the bank’s loan review and compliance arm. He joined TIB in 2018 and has a BS degree from the University of Houston.
  • Don Briscoe, senior vice president, was promoted to director of service solutions and communications. He is in his 29th year with TIB and earned a BS degree in accounting from the University of Texas–Dallas.
  • Alicia Garrison, senior vice president, was promoted to deputy chief risk officer and chief credit officer. She joined TIB in 2006 and is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
  • Zane Gray, senior vice president, was promoted to director of bankwide strategic performance and director of internal loan review. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and joined TIB in 2023,
  • Michael Colin O’Rourke, senior vice president, was promoted to deputy chief lending officer. He joined TIB in 2011 and graduated from Texas Tech University.
  • Travis Stephens, senior vice president, was promoted to director of correspondent relations. He joined TIB in 2009.

In addition, the following were promoted to senior vice president:

  • Evan Deguchi was promoted to senior vice president/assistant director of lending administration. He has been with TIB since 2015.
  • Katie Lawton was promoted to senior vice president/lending administration & fed funds manager. She joined TIB in 2008.
  • Drew Schultz was promoted to senior vice president/ALX consulting relationship manager. ALX Consulting is TIB’s asset/liability management arm. He has been with TIB since 2011.
  • Karen Wheeler was promoted to senior vice president/mortgage operations manager. She joined TIB in 2018.
  • Cathy Wood-Smith was promoted to senior vice president/fraud manager. She joined TIB in 2011.

The following officer promotions were also announced:

  • Cori Carruthers was promoted to first vice president/credit risk engagement leader.
  • Jonathan Lowery was promoted to first vice president/investment strategies analyst.
  • Julie Pacheco was promoted to first vice president/FX payments and control manager.
  • Chad Rodgers was promoted to first vice president/senior network security administrator.
  • Payne Sullins was promoted to vice president/correspondent officer.
  • Jennifer Winters was promoted to vice president/cardholder support manager.
  • Kevin Boudreaux was promoted to banking officer/accounting generalist.
  • Tomika Carter was promoted to banking officer/executive assistant.
  • Monique Harrison was promoted to banking officer/card services project manager.
  • Victoria Paredez was promoted to banking officer/investment operations systems manager.
  • Ashley Tartt was promoted to card services officer.
