Texas Regional Bank Hires Ta and Bernhardt as Market Presidents

October 12, 2023

Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank has announced the hiring of two new market presidents in the Houston region.

Lisa TaLisa Ta has been hired to serve as senior vice president/Southwest Houston market president. Her specialties include commercial lending, treasury management solutions, foreign exchange and commercial card programs. Prior to joining Texas Regional Bank, she was a senior business banker at Capital One and, prior to that, served as vice president/senior client manager at Bank of America. Ta earned her BBA degree in marketing and sales from the University of Houston. She has been an active member of the Houston community for 23 years, volunteering with Junior Achievement, the Houston Food Bank, The Women’s Resource, Ave 360 and Fort Bend ISD.

Troy BernhardtTexas Regional Bank has tapped Troy Bernhardt to serve as senior vice president/Baytown market president. He previously worked as a senior vice president/market president for First Liberty National Bank in Mont Belvieu and, prior to that, as a credit analyst at CommunityBank of Texas. Bernhardt earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Lamar University and is attending the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He currently serves as a member of the Baytown Chamber of Commerce.

Established in 2010, Texas Regional Bank operates in the Rio Grande Valley, Dallas/Fort Worth, the Texas Hill Country and Houston.
