Texas Regional Bank Hires Guillen as Market Manager in Starr and Hidalgo Counties

February 28, 2024

Dalinda GuillenDalinda Guillen has joined Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank as its market manager for Starr and Hidalgo counties. She will help grow commercial banking relationships as well as support the economic development division in the region, including helping with the bank’s public policy efforts at the federal, state and local legislative levels.

Guillen’s career has included positions both in the public and private sector. She previously served for nearly a decade as executive director of the Rio Grande City Economic Development Council. During her tenure there, she worked alongside the mayor, city council and city administration to develop and advance economic development strategies that helped to attract, retain and expand business in Rio Grande City. Her leadership, hard work and dedication led to unprecedented growth in Rio Grande City that exceeded $100 million in commercial investment.

“Dalinda has a unique skillset that we are very excited about, not to mention a wealth of experience in the region and throughout the state,” says Brent Baldree, president/commercial banking. “As we worked with her to expand into the Rio Grande City area, it became clear that she was someone who aligned well with Texas Regional Bank’s culture and mindset.”

Prior to her tenure at the Rio Grande City Economic Development Council, Guillen worked as a marketing and media strategist and as the media and public relations coordinator for South Texas Health Systems.

Guillen currently serves as secretary on the board of Workforce Solutions in Hidalgo, Willacy and Starr counties.

“I’ve worked alongside Dalinda for many years promoting economic development efforts in the region,” says Alex Meade, executive vice president/economic development. “Her experience will add tremendous value to the economic development division as we continue to expand our efforts statewide.”

Established in 1987, Texas Regional Bank operates more than 30 banking centers across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Hill Country, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
