In June, Houston-based Gulf Capital Bank announced that longtime Houston banker Brent Harraman has joined the bank as senior vice president/business banking director.
Harrraman joins Gulf Capital Bank after serving for more than 14 years at Comerica Bank. His last position there was as senior vice president, regional director/small-business banking for Texas, Arizona and Florida. Earlier in his career, he worked at Sterling Bank, First Bank and Southwest Bank of Texas, all in the Houston area.

Harraman earned his BBA degree in general business from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He holds an executive MBA degree from the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and is a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association Executive Banking School. Active in the community, he has been a volunteer with the Houston Food Bank for more than 11 years. He has also served as an adult Sunday school teacher at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church for more than 16 years and is part of the church’s leadership team.
