Texas Regional Bank Hires Colvin as Montgomery County Market President

September 1, 2023

Richard ColvinRichard “Skip” Colvin has joined Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank as senior vice president and Montgomery County market president. He will be responsible for building up new and existing commercial banking relationships in the Montgomery County region and surrounding areas.

With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Colvin has worked in executive positions for Arvest Bank, MidSouth Bank, Regions Financial and Wells Fargo. He most recently served as chief operating officer at Factory Builder Stores in Houston.

Colvin earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in business, management, marketing and related support services from Texas A&M University–Texarkana. He also studied theology at the Grace School of Theology. In addition, Colvin is a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He also is certified in risk management from the Risk Management Association.

Colvin serves as president of the board at Trinity Christian School. He also sits on the board of United Way of Central Arkansas, Texarkana Alzheimers Board and Life Choices Pregnancy Resource Center.

Established in 1987, Texas Regional Bank operates 29 banking centers throughout Texas.
