Louis Soliz has been promoted to senior vice president and cashier at Sweetwater-based Texas National Bank. He has more than 15 years of community bank operations experience and has been with Texas National Bank since November 2020. Soliz was hired in anticipation of the retirement of the bank’s longtime cashier, Brenda Stirl.
“Louis has already had a tremendous impact on the bank in his short time here,” says Mike Fernandez, president. “He implemented several projects shortly after his arrival and has been diligently building and developing an operations team that will serve the bank well as we move forward.”
Sheila Cowan has been promoted to senior vice president/operations. She began her community banking career in 1987 and has served in a variety of roles with Texas National Bank since 2007.
“Sheila has been an integral part of the bank throughout her time here and is most deserving of this promotion,” Fernandez notes. “She is a quick study and is always up to any task. Her commitment to the bank and our customers exemplifies the true definition of a community banker.”
Established in 1995, Texas National Bank has assets of $175 million and operates banking offices in Sweetwater and Tuscola.
