Stephens Joins FirstBank & Trust as Vice President of Treasury Management

March 15, 2022

Matt StephensVince Vasquez, senior vice president and director of treasury management at Lubbock-based FirstBank & Trust, announced the recent hiring of Matt Stephens as vice president and treasury management officer. Stephens will office at the Centre location at 9816 Slide Rd. in Lubbock.

“Matt is an exciting addition to the FirstBank & Trust team,” Vasquez says. “He has a deep knowledge of treasury services and how to create efficiencies for business through those channels. He is going to be a valuable resource for our business customers.”

Stephens worked for many years at United Supermarkets before finding his way into the banking industry at another Texas bank. There he focused on business development and treasury management services. Stephens has volunteered with Lubbock United Way, CASA of the South Plains, Lubbock ISD Foundation for Excellence and the Monterey Baseball booster club. He spent many years as a dedicated volunteer at the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball and Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.

Established in 1996, FirstBank & Trust is a subsidiary of Heartland Financial USA Inc. The bank operates 22 locations serving 17 communities in West Texas and the Panhandle.
