Charlie Waters has joined Moulton-based SouthStar Bank as senior vice president and branch executive at the Georgetown office. He holds more than a decade of experience in the banking industry with a strong focus on commercial real estate.

Before joining SouthStar Bank, Waters was vice president/commercial loan officer at The Commercial National Bank of Brady’s Georgetown branch for three years. Prior to that, he was vice president/commercial loan officer at Cadence Bank. He launched his banking career at R Bank in Round Rock. Waters earned his bachelor’s degree in banking and financial support services from Sam Houston State University.

Established in 1920, SouthStar Bank operates 17 branches in Central Texas—including Austin and San Antonio—as well as the Texas Gulf Coast.
