Somerville, Vice President of Marketing, to Retire from Security State Bank & Trust After 37 Years in Banking

Linda SomervilleLinda Somerville, vice president of marketing at Fredericksburg-based Security State Bank & Trust is retiring at the end of the month after 30 years at the bank and 37 years in banking. She led the marketing efforts of the bank’s 16 branches from her office in Kerrville. In retirement, she plans to spend more time on the farm, with family and traveling. Lauren Team will lead the bank’s marketing upon Somerville’s retirement.

Somerville has served on the boards of the Kerr County United Way and Habitat for Humanity, Kerr County. Her other volunteer efforts include the Kerr County Relay for Life, Hill Country College Fund and helping coordinate numerous chamber events. Past service includes serving on the Kerrville Area Chamber board of directors and as a member of the
Executive Women’s Club. She graduated from Leadership Kerr County in 1999 and subsequently served on the organization’s steering committee for three years.

Established in 1941, Security State Bank & Trust serves customers in Central Texas and the Texas Hill Country.
