Acosta Promoted to Chief Transformation Officer at Texas First Bank

Laura AcostaLaura Acosta has been promoted to chief transformation officer at Texas City-based Texas First Bank. In this newly created position, she will partner with the CEO and executive team to execute strategic and operational priorities, coordinate high‑impact initiatives and lead cross‑functional transformation efforts across the organization.

Acosta brings more than 15 years of banking and project management experience to her new position, including six years with Texas First Bank. Prior to this promotion, she was senior vice president/business transformation officer for the past two years. Prior to joining Texas First Bank, Acosta served as vice president, financial controller and corporate secretary at Preferred Bank.

Acosta holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She serves as a United Way campaign leader for the organization and supports both the World Vision International and Show Hope child sponsorship programs.

“Laura embodies the spirit of community banking, and we look forward to the meaningful impact she will have as we continue to grow and serve Texans across our markets,” says Christopher Doyle, president and CEO.

Established in 1982, Texas First Bank operates more than 25 banking offices in Central and East Texas, including the Houston and Galveston regions.
