Mike Davis, Midland president of Lubbock-based Lone Star State Bank, recently announced that Randy Silva has joined the bank as executive vice president. Working out of the bank’s Midland office, Silva will focus on commercial and energy lending, as well as business development. With 19 years of financial services experience, he previously served at San Antonio-based Frost Bank as a market president and sales manager. There, he worked closely with the bank’s regional president to lead, direct and mentor the regional team. Prior to that, he worked as senior vice president/relationship manager at Western National Bank in Midland and Odessa from 2001 until 2014, when the bank was acquired by Frost Bank.
Silva earned his BBA degree in finance from Texas Tech University. Active in his community, he serves on the boards of the Permian Basin Better Business Bureau, Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center, First Tee of West Texas and Green Tree Country Club MGA.
“Randy Silva brings a wealth of experience and proven track record in all areas of banking to our Midland team,” Davis says.
Established in 2007, Lone Star State Bank has five full-service branches located in Midland, Odessa, Big Spring and Brownfield.
