PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Richards as Wealth Management Market Manager for Lubbock Region

September 10, 2025

Kameron RichardsDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has hired Kameron Richards to join The Private Bank at PlainsCapital as senior vice president/wealth management market manager for the Lubbock region. He will be based at the bank’s 50th and University location in Lubbock.

Richards joins PlainsCapital from Herring Bank, for which he most recently served as senior trust officer. During his five-year tenure there, he held several leadership roles, including vice president of corporate trust, and specialized in corporate trust and wealth management. Prior to that, he practiced as a tax and estate planning attorney at Neil Deininger & Co.

Richards earned a BBA degree, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law. While in law school, he received the Craig Sterne Memorial Award for academic excellence in estate planning and taxation, as well as the Pro Bono Silver Award for his commitment to volunteer legal service.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 55 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
