PlainsCapital Bank Welcomes Osborn as Senior Oil and Gas Property Manager

February 11, 2025

Bill OsbornDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank recently hired Bill Osborn to serve as assistant vice president/senior oil and gas property manager for the Private Bank at PlainsCapital. Based in the bank’s Fort Worth office at 3707 Camp Bowie Blvd., he will manage a portfolio of select oil and gas assets for clients across Texas.

Osborn brings more than 19 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with expertise in land management, acquisitions, drilling programs and title research. Before joining PlainsCapital Bank, he spent 14 years at Hunt Oil Co., for which he most recently served as land advisor for the western region. He also held leadership roles as senior staff landman and land manager for Hunt Oil Co., overseeing land operations for multi-rig drilling programs across Texas. Osborn began his career as an independent landman, working with small- to mid-size operators on land acquisitions and leasing programs.

“Bill’s depth of experience in land management and his ability to work across multiple disciplines makes him a great addition to our team,” says Tom Neville, head of private banking and wealth management. “His background in negotiations, asset acquisitions and managing large-scale drilling programs will help us provide exceptional service to our clients with oil and gas holdings.”

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 55 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
