PlainsCapital Bank Promotes Schulz to Lubbock Market President and Rosenberg to Executive Vice President

Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank has promoted commercial lending manager Seth Schulz to Lubbock market president, succeeding David Quintanilla, whose promotion to West Texas region chairman was announced in December and became effective on January 1. In addition, West Texas real estate lending manager Mark Rosenberg has been promoted to executive vice president.

“Both [Shulz and Rosenberg] have been important leaders in the Lubbock market for many years, and we are fortunate to have such accomplished professionals serving our West Texas customers and communities,” Quintanilla says.

Seth SchulzSchulz joined PlainsCapital as a credit analyst in 2010 and served as a loan officer in correspondent banking and commercial lending prior to being named commercial lending manager in 2020. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Banking, as well as the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. Schulz has been deeply involved in supporting the Lubbock Area United Way for more than a decade, most recently serving as chair of the organization’s corporate division and on the campaign cabinet. He also serves as a member of the Cooper Hoopsters board of directors and the Lubbock-Cooper Ambassador program.

Mark RosenbergRosenberg joined PlainsCapital in 2016 as vice president/commercial lending and was promoted to senior vice president/West Texas real estate lending manager in 2023. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Dallas and is a graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Banking. Rosenberg has strong ties to the Lubbock community where he volunteers with local nonprofits and organizations that support education. He has also served as a loan executive for the Lubbock Area United Way.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 55 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
