PlainsCapital Bank Hires Dawson to Manage Investment Strategies and Portfolios

Jerrod DawsonDallas-based PlainsCapital Bank announced that Jerrod Dawson has joined the Private Bank at PlainsCapital as senior vice president/manager of investment strategies and portfolio management. He will office at the bank’s Hilltop Plaza location at 6565 Hillcrest Ave. in Dallas.

“[Jerrod’s] depth of experience in investment strategy and portfolio management will be a valuable asset to our team and our clients,” says Andrew Cunningham, senior vice president/chief investment officer of The Private Bank.

Dawson brings 29 years of experience in financial services, with expertise in investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio management. He joins PlainsCapital from Quest Capital Management, where he spent more than a decade as chief investment officer. Prior to Quest Capital, Dawson held senior investment roles at Comerica Bank and Bank of America.

Dawson earned his BBA degree in management information systems from the University of Oklahoma, followed by an MBA degree in finance from Oklahoma City University.

Established in 1955, PlainsCapital Bank operates 55 Texas branches. Its major markets include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
